Construction site shuttle and transport: six checks before the first day
A shuttle announcement alone does not establish transport cost or a reliable commute plan.
A shuttle and transport payment are different terms
A shuttle can mean a vehicle runs, but it does not state the boarding point, schedule or cost. Reaching the boarding point can still cost money.
Do not assume a shuttle means zero transport cost. Record actual transport as a living cost rather than wage or payroll deduction.
Confirm the first-day timetable
Confirm the boarding place, first vehicle time, expected arrival, return boarding place, late-work plan and an alternative for route changes.
Personal clock times are useful records, but do not by themselves settle whether travel time is work time.

Keep monthly transport costs separate
Save changing daily transport costs by date and fixed costs, such as a pass or parking, by month. Do not create a cost for a free shuttle day.
This keeps pay, personal living costs and the amount remaining after living costs distinct.
