How open tiles work

A tile can be selected only when no tile covers it from above and one horizontal side is open. Match two open tiles with the same face to remove them.

Hints, shuffles, and items help when the board stalls, but each helper reduces the score. Undo restores the last cleared pair, shuffle, or auto-pair item move.
